Children are a gift, and we love having children at church! We know that their growth and development in the faith is unique and important to faith formation. Because of that, we offer several options for children on Sundays. Keep reading to learn about Compass Kids Ministry, Nursery Care, and the Mother’s Room.
Of course, your children - no matter what the age - are welcome in the worship service upstairs as well!
We want kids to love Jesus more and more every single week - and at Compass Kids, we make this a priority. We are committed to providing an engaging, loving, exciting environment for children in Preschool through 5th grade to learn and grow in age-appropriate ways. The downstairs area is dedicated to Compass Kids, and we make your children’s safety a priority. Because of that, we have a check-in process for all our children. You’ll want to leave yourself an extra five minutes to get signed in before the worship service.
Nursery Care is provided for children from birth to age 3 downstairs. Nursery workers engage children in a variety of ways from playing with them to reading books in a rocking chair. There are books and coloring books, a toy kitchen, small slide, dolls, stuffed animals, and other toys!
We know that sometimes young children need a quiet place or a diaper change in the middle of the service. A mother’s room is located downstairs next to the nursery. Several rocking chairs, toys, blankets, and a pack-and-play are available for your use. Also, a TV in the room streams the service going up upstairs, so you won’t miss a thing while you tend to your child.
It's exciting whenever a new child enters a family. There's no greater moment when parents sense that children are a gift from God. In these joyful moments, parents can celebrate this with their church family as well!
Dedicating a child acknowledges that the child is ultimately God’s child and that the child is a gift from God. Parents present their child before God and His people (the church) asking for grace and wisdom in carrying out their responsibilities as parents. Parents also come praying that their child might one day trust Jesus Christ as Savior.
